NOTE - This page has been stagnant for a very long time, I haven't had the time to add anything. If you find something of interest and have any questions, send me an email and I'll be glad to try and help.

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to my guitar page.   This is an experiment of mine in page-building, hopefully some of what's here will be interesting as well. For some really good lesson sites, check out www.wholenote.com and www.riffinteractive.com. There GREAT! As I'm constantly building this page, check back from time to time for new stuff.  If you have questions, suggestions, cool links, something new I could learn, or corrections on something, please forward them on to me at the Email address below.
The tabs are my own interpretations, not meant to necessarily accurately reproduce the actual recordings or performances, and in many cases modified to help fill out a single guitars sound ( and sometimes because I couldn't figure out the original :).

Tune Up

Below are short 1 second Wav files to help you tune your guitar. Either open them here or download them to your computer. It is helpful to set your Wav player to loop (WinAmp has this feature) on the tones to give you time to get in tune with each tone.

Giuliani's 120 Exercises for the Right Hand

Before beginning, first take a look at the proper hand position for playing these exercises. These '120 Daily Studies' are from Mauro Giuliani's Opus 1.  They use various right-hand arpeggio formulas to develop right hand tecnique.  I highly recommend spending at least some time every day on these exercises.  Then, once through them all, pick a subset to use as an excellent warmup before each practice.  I've broken them up into 10 12 piece sections for ease of viewing as text files.  The Easy Tab files require the download of EasyTab (link is in download section above).  If you're just beginning, it really helps to actually hear some of these.  Work on even tone and volume of each note, and use a metronome.  If you don't have one, download the one above, it works great.
